United Health Centers Foundation
The UHC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources to improve the health and quality of life of our communities. The UHC Foundation was established to support community programs that extend beyond the scope of primary healthcare services in rural communities. Today, the UHC Foundation continues this legacy by investing in community wellness outside of our care center walls, and within them.
Donations will support premier medical, dental, vision and specialty care services at United Health Centers, will help break down barriers to accessing life-saving medical care, and will grow and develop future primary care clinicians through our provider teaching and training programs.

Dr. Robert Allen Shankerman College Scholarship
Meet Our 2024 Robert Allen Shankerman Scholarship Recipients

In honor of United Health Centers’ late Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robert Allen Shankerman, and his unwavering passion for medical education, we are proud to have raised over $180,000 to support Fresno State University students pursuing careers in healthcare. The scholarship’s first four recipients are bright, and represent the future of medicine. We look forward to seeing all they accomplish, and hope they one day make our region their career home. United Health Centers Foundation remains committed to reinforcing the next generation of medical professionals who will care for the people of our Valley.
